POCKET is a light datalink test set for verifying VHF datalink connectivity and ADS-B function. It is used to quickly test one aircraft or one ground installation at a time, and is portable to facilitate use at various locations. POCKET is designed for short-range testing in the field. Its compact design and easy-to-use interface make it ideal for maintenance operations.
POCKET tests every component of the datalink communication chain on-board aircraft, from the VHF data radio and communications router to the display, flight management system and other peripherals used for ATC and AOC communications. It also tests every constituent of the ground infrastructure, from the ground station and CSP network to the ATC and AOC centers.
